Best Quiche Recipe

1 9-inch pie crust (store-bought or homemade) 1 cup milk 1 cup heavy cream 4 large eggs 1 ½ cups shredded cheese (such as Swiss, Gruyere, cheddar, or a mix) 1 cup chopped vegetables (spinach, mushrooms, bell peppers, onions, etc.) 6 slices of cooked bacon or ham (optional) Salt and pepper to taste Pinch of nutmeg (optional)

Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).

Prepare Pie Crust: Roll out the pie crust and press it into a 9-inch pie dish. Prick the bottom of the crust with a fork to prevent it from puffing up during baking.

Prepare Filling: In a mixing bowl, whisk together the milk, heavy cream, eggs, salt, pepper, and nutmeg (if using) until well combined.

Assemble Quiche: Pour the filling mixture into the prepared pie crust, spreading it out evenly.

Bake: Place the quiche in the preheated oven and bake for 35-45 minutes, or until the center is set and the top is golden brown.

Cool and Serve: Allow the quiche to cool for a few minutes before slicing and serving. Enjoy warm or at room temperature.
