1/4 cup butter melted ▢1 1/4 cups sugar +2 tbsp ▢1 cup self rising flour ▢1 cup whole milk ▢2 cups blackberries fresh or frozen ▢whipped cream or ice cream
Bring the oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit.
Whisk together the flour, milk, and one cup of sugar in a medium basin. Combine the liquefied butter.
Pour batter into a buttered and sprayed 9 by 13-inch baking dish. Evenly distribute the desiccated and rinsed blackberries on top of the batter. 1/4 cup sugar should be sprinkled over the blackberries.
Bake for about one hour, or until golden brown and bubbling.
Ten minutes into the simmering process, distribute the remaining two tablespoons of sugar on top. Frost as desired with whipping cream, ice cream, or both.
