Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
In a medium bowl, beat the cream cheese, sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth.
Place the miniature phyllo tart shells on a baking sheet. Spoon a heaping teaspoon of the cream cheese mixture into each tart shell.
Bake in preheated oven for about 8-10 minutes, or until the filling is set. Remove from oven and let them cool completely.
Once the tart shells are cool, spoon cherry pie filling over the cream cheese mixture in each tart shell.
Place the tarts in the refrigerator for about 30 minutes to chill and set.
