Cream together the butter and brown sugar using a stand mixer. Combine the molasses and egg by mixing them together.
Combine the flour, baking soda, salt, cinnamon, and ginger in a medium basin. Combine with the moist ingredients until homogeneous. Chill covered for two hours.
Turn the oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit.
Utilize a medium-sized cookie scoop (1/2 tablespoon) to scoop the dough, then form it into spheres. Place dough balls, coated in sugar on top, onto a cookie sheet that has been gently greased.
Cool for one minute after baking for eight to ten minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
