Chocolate Chip Cookie Recipe 

– 1 cup (2 sticks) unsalted butter, at room temperature – 3/4 cup granulated sugar – 3/4 cup packed brown sugar – 2 large egg – 1 teaspoon vanilla extract – 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour – 1 teaspoon baking soda – 1/2 teaspoon salt – 2 cups semisweet chocolate chip


Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and line baking sheets with parchment paper.

In a large mixing bowl, cream together the butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy.

Beat in the eggs, one at a time, then add the vanilla extract. Mix until well combined.

In a separate bowl, sift together the flour, baking soda, and salt.

Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.

Stir in the chocolate chips until evenly distributed throughout the dough.

Using a spoon or cookie scoop, drop rounded tablespoons of dough onto the prepared baking sheets, spacing them about 2 inches apart.

Bake in the preheated oven for 8-10 minutes, or until the edges are lightly golden brown.
