Fans Unite In Agreement On Angel Reese, Kamilla Cardoso After Sky Injury

On Saturday, the Chicago Sky announced a devastating blow to their roster as starting center Elizabeth Williams will undergo surgery for a meniscus tear that will keep her out indefinitely.

Williams has been a huge contributor to the Sky since joining the team in 2023. In nine games this WNBA season, she has averaged 10 points, seven assists, and 1.7 blocks per game.

Luckily for the Sky, they drafted two forwards in this year's WNBA draft that can help replace her production on the court. They got Kamilla Cardoso out of South Carolina with the No. 3 overall pick and Angel Reese out of LSU with the No. 7 overall pick.

Following the news of Williams' injury being released to the public, fans united in agreement on Cardoso and Reese, saying that they will get more playing time and earn more WNBA experience.

That's too bad for Elizabeth. She had given the Sky some good minutes this season. But that now opens up the center spot for Camilla Cardoso to start alongside Angel Reese."

Elizabeth Williams will undergo surgery for a torn meniscus suffered in the June 6 game against the Mystics. Brutal for the Sky, who will now rely more heavily on their rookies in the front court.

I am rooting for Angel And Kamilla. I believe in them. So sad for E Will . She was doing so well.
