Meat-and-Potato Casserole

Ingredients: – 1 pound ground meat (beef, turkey, or a combination) – 4 cups peeled and diced potatoes – 1 onion, finely chopped – 2 cloves garlic, minced

– 1 cup frozen vegetables (peas, carrots, corn, etc.) – 1 can (10.5 oz) condensed cream of mushroom or cream of chicken soup – 1/2 cup milk – Salt and pepper to taste – 1 cup shredded cheese (cheddar, mozzarella, or your choice) – Optional toppings: chopped fresh herbs (parsley, chives), breadcrumbs

1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). 2. In a large skillet, cook the ground meat over medium heat until browned. Drain any excess fat.

1. Add chopped onions and minced garlic to the skillet and sauté until the onions are translucent. 2. In a separate pot, boil the diced potatoes until they are just fork-tender. Drain and set aside.

1. In a mixing bowl, combine the cooked meat mixture, boiled potatoes, frozen vegetables, condensed soup, milk, salt, and pepper. Mix well until all ingredients are evenly combined. 2. Transfer the mixture to a greased casserole dish.

1. Sprinkle shredded cheese on top of the casserole. 2. If desired, you can add a layer of breadcrumbs for a crispy topping.

1. Bake in the preheated oven for about 25-30 minutes or until the casserole is hot and bubbly, and the cheese is melted and golden brown. 2. Remove from the oven and let it rest for a few minutes before serving.
