Pecan Pie with a Twist

Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).

Prepare Pie Crust: If using a pre-made pie crust, place it in a 9-inch pie dish. If using a homemade crust, prepare and roll it out into a pie dish.

Mix Filling: In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the dark corn syrup, eggs, brown sugar, melted butter, vanilla extract, and salt until well combined.

Add Pecans and Chocolate Chips: Stir in the pecan halves and semisweet chocolate chips until they are evenly distributed throughout the filling mixture.

Pour into Pie Crust: Pour the filling mixture into the prepared pie crust, spreading it out evenly.

Bake: Place the pie in the preheated oven and bake for 50-60 minutes, or until the filling is set and the crust is golden brown.

Cool and Serve: Once baked, remove the pie from the oven and allow it to cool completely before slicing and serving. Serve slices of pecan pie with a dollop of whipped cream or a scoop of vanilla ice cream, if desired
