1 lb round sourdough loaf unsliced ▢1 lb Monterey Jack cheese ▢1/2 cup butter melted ▢2-3 tsp poppy seeds ▢1/2 cup green onions chopped

Step - 1

Preheating the oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit.

Width-wise, cut 1-inch sections from the loaf using a bread knife. Ensure that no portion of the baguette is cut through to the bottom. Come to a complete halt approximately one inch from the bottom. The 1-inch cuts should be repeated in the opposing direction.

Step - 2

Shred the Monterey Jack cheese and cram it into each crevice of the bread once it has been sliced. Ensure that it coats the bread completely so that it is creamy on the inside.

Step - 3

Pour a mixture of melted butter and poppy seeds over the bread.

Step - 4

Cover bread with tent foil and arrange on a baking sheet. Bake for 15 minutes at 350°F. After 10 minutes, remove the foil and continue baking, or until the cheese has dissolved. As a garnish, add green scallions.
