The Best Margarita Recipe


2 oz (60 ml) Tequila 1 oz (30 ml) Triple Sec or Cointreau 1 oz (30 ml) freshly squeezed lime juice 1/2 oz (15 ml) simple syrup (optional, adjust to taste) Salt (for rimming the glass) Ice cubes Lime wedge (for garnish)

Rim the glass: Take a lime wedge and run it along the rim of your glass. Then dip the rim into a plate of salt to coat it. This step is optional if you prefer your Margarita without salt.

Shake the ingredients: Fill a cocktail shaker with ice cubes. Add the tequila, triple sec (or Cointreau), lime juice, and simple syrup (if using).

Shake vigorously for about 15-20 seconds to chill the mixture.
