The quest for gold is about to begin. In June, the U.S. Olympic gymnastics team will be selected for the Paris Games.
Competing for a spot on the roster will be a few familiar faces. Simone Biles, the most decorated gymnast, will be working towards her third Olympic games while 2020 teammates Jade Carey, Suni Lee and Jordan Chiles will be going for their second appearance.
On the men's side, Brody Malone is set to make a comeback. The all-around star underwent three leg surgeries in 2023.
It looked like his chance to return to the games was slim, but he's back just in time, leading at the U.S. Championships.
It will be one of the most competitive fields Team USA has seen.
At the trials, the top all-around performer will automatically clinch a spot on the team. The selection committee is then tasked with selecting the other four gymnasts who will represent the both U.S. teams in Paris.
